Worlds first nuclear reactor. very interesting tour.

EBR stands for the Experimental Breeder Reactor - insert funny joke here. It became the worlds first reactor in 1951 when it generated enough electricity to generate - get this - 4 electric light bulbs.

Now a US National Historic site, this makes for a great stop on any road trip. Located in the desert, about 18 miles from Arco, Idaho.

It's worth noting that the site is only open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
